Son of Mary and Cleophas, Brother of Saint James the Lesser and Nephew of Mary and Joseph making him a Blood relative of Jesus and it is thought he looks a lot like him, His Father Cleopha died a martyr and his mother Mary stood at the foot of the cross and annointed the body of christ after his death, many people thought he was a fisherman in life , He died by beaten to death with a club he was then beheaded post-mortem in 1st century persia
The Name Jude means Praise and is of Hebrew origin

His patronage of lost or impossible causes traditionally derives from confusion by many early Christians between Jude and Judas; not understanding the difference between the names, they never prayed for Jude's help, and devotion to him became something of a lost cause.
