Colours & Tabard

Tarbards / surcoats where used in the Medieval period to help identify different knights during tournaments and battles you would see them in there house colours and also have there coat of arms displayed on them. Soldiers and some mercenary groups would also wearing tabards depicting someone s coat of arms or colours this would display their affiliation and allegiances to their particular liege lord.

With the Company of St Jude being a mercenary unit we don't have any coat of arms on our tabards but if we did this would be our own groups emblem and not of one of our associates.

The groups main colours are black and white you will see most people walking about with a black and white platted cord (Normally seen hanging off peoples belts, hats, tried to there arms or on some of the armour or weapons they are wearing/carrying.) these colours represent our group (a form of advertising on who we are). You will always see us in the battle field wearing these. Also we have a group tabard. Which consists of two strips of colour one black strip which covers your right hand side of the body and a white strip which covers our left had side (over our heart).

The one thing you might notice is that there are two different types of platted cord one has more black in than the other this is to indicate that this person is one of the co-founders of the group or in a seinor position in the group.
